{Sponsored Post} Kids Eat FREE with the Cedar Rapids Kernels!

The Kernels love bringing families together for a day at the ballpark! One day in particular, Sundays, kids are the most valuable players for Kids Eat FREE Sunday, sponsored by Western Fraternal Life.

To see what all of the Kids Eat Free Sunday excitement is about, click here.

Every Sunday home game, each child, 12 and under, gets a coupon for a FREE hot dog, popcorn, and Capri Sun from the Kernels concession stands. Not to mention, Papa Balloon and Face Painting by Kennedy are on the concourse to provide FREE entertainment for the youngsters.

IMG_8006Following the game, all fans are welcome down on Perfect Game Field to run the bases, play catch in the outfield and get autographs from Kernels players, thanks to Jimmy John’s and media sponsor 104.5 KDAT.

Tickets for all Sunday home games are still available by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at (319) 896-7560 or by visiting kernels.com. You can also check when the next Kids Eat FREE Sunday is, by visiting the Kernels’ website.

We pride ourselves on offering more than just baseball; we strive to create a wonderful family entertainment experience at every game.

Sara and her husband Matt (sweethearts since they were just 16) got married in 2007, and since then have welcomed four beautiful children (Sam in 2008, Cooper in 2010, Nora in 2012, and Adam James in December 2015). A born-and-raised Iowan, Sara received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees (in Spanish Literature) from the University of Iowa. She's still teaching Spanish wherever and whenever she can, but her true passion is owning Iowa City Moms and building this community alongside her amazing team. Common denominator in all of these jobs: community, community, community.
