{Re-Cap} Wine And Wreaths MNO

If you were at our Wine & Wreaths night in November, you already know this, but we had a BLAST!  What a wonderful evening of yummy food, super fun moms to chat with, and an adorable wreath to take home for the holidays!

If you aren’t using OrderUp yet, you are seriously missing out, friends!  We all have Iowa City favorites that don’t offer delivery, don’t we? OrderUp to the rescue!  If you were following along, you’ll know that OrderUp was offering a special coupon code for all ICMB readers.  We hope you took advantage of that!  And for the guests of Wine & Wreaths, they offered an extra code for all of the dads and caretakers to use while us moms were out enjoying the evening!  So awesome!  Be sure to follow OrderUp on Facebook to stay up to date with all of their deals and specials.  Oh, and thanks to OrderUp, all of the moms went home with a super-cute, super-functional fanny pack (pictured below)!  Gotta love it!

After hosting a small party for our writers here earlier in the year, we just KNEW that we had to come back! Little Lights Events is an ADORABLE new event venue in West Branch, and it is absolutely perfect for small to mid-size get togethers for friends, family, or coworkers.  The space is breathtakingly beautiful, and the staff is a dream to work with. You can decorate the space yourself, or you can add it on to your rental and let them do the work with their beautiful place settings, dishes, and decor.  Little Lights is offering special packages for family get-togethers just in time for the holidays, so be sure to check out their Facebook page for more details!

What’s a wine & wreath night without wine, right?!  Our guests enjoyed some of the top picks from Brick Arch Winery, and they were gone before you could say “wine and wreaths”.  Each mom seemed to find her favorite one, and it was so fun to watch everyone sipping and chatting while they worked on their wreaths!  Check out Brick Arch next time you’re in West Branch, you’ll be glad you did!

fullsizerender-23Wildwood Smokehouse & Saloon

Y’all remember when we had that super awesome VIP dinner at Wildwood? We are THRILLED that they have re-opened, and we were so excited to let our guests know that we would be enjoying Wildwood’s delicious dishes for this event.  Our guests filled their plates with chicken strips, tater tots, corn nuggets (a definite favorite!), corn bread, and salad.  The food was SO good, in fact, that I didn’t even get a picture of it before I dug in and cleaned my plate! Yes, THAT good!  If you’re looking for a good, fun place to go for dinner, check out the new and improved Wildwood.  We have shared a few of their events, including weekly line-dancing lessons and really awesome concerts, on our Facebook page, but be sure to check out their page as well for more details! HUGE thank you to Wildwood for providing the food for all of the moms at the wine & wreaths night!

fullsizerender-19Vanilla Beans & Daydreams

As if the above-mentioned food was not enough, we were spoiled with the most AMAZING desserts from our very own Michele, talented owner of Vanilla Beans & Daydreams.  Each and every mom was surprised with their very own individual desserts, packaged so beautifully that we *almost* didn’t want to open them (key word: almost!).  If you are looking for the most delicious desserts in the corridor, look no further.  Find her on Facebook here.

fullsizerender-21Swag & Giveaway Sponsors

As always, we love to send our moms home with some freebies!  This swag bag was jam-packed with samples, sweets, and coupons, and we are so grateful to all of the local businesses who participated.  In particular, a huge shout-out to the mom-run businesses who donate to these bags.  We know firsthand how hard it can be to build your own business, and we encourage all guests at our events to take a moment to check out all of the business cards and flyers in the bags! Considering ordering from some local mom-run businesses to get your Christmas shopping done this year!

Again, thank you to everyone who came, everyone who helped put this event on, and everyone who supports ICMB all year long. We are so excited to bring more of these community-building events to the moms of the corridor in the new year!
