Well friends, I believe we have found a new favorite type of Moms Night Out: eat, drink, and craft! We hosted our “Wine & Wreaths” night at Little Lights Events in November, and we had a BLAST making the holiday wreaths with all of you mamas. We asked for your feedback, and you gave it, asking for lots more craft nights! So, we put together a super simple craft (DIY rope baskets), and we started looking for the perfect drinks to accompany the craft….
…Cue Wilson’s Orchard hard cider! If you haven’t heard, Wilson’s now has four new hard orchard flavors: Cherry Crush, Goldfinch, Hoppleseed, and Spiced Up. They were super popular with the moms at Baskets & Brews, a perfect addition to a night full of crafting and chatting. If you’re looking for Wilson’s hard ciders to try for yourself, you can find them (in bottles) at HyVee, New Pioneer Co-Op, and John’s Grocery, and you can also find them on tap at Blackstone, Black Sheep Social Club, Bluebird Diner, Brewhemia, Cellar Peanut Pub, Forbidden Planet, Iowa Brewingn Company, Iowa Taproom, Irish Democrat, Mosley’s, Red Vespa, Short’s Burger & Shine, 30 Hop, Iowa Chop House, Orchard Green, Big Grove Brewery, and Tipton Country Club. Oh, and we also had the PERFECT swag from our friends at Order Up IC: bottle openers!
We also have to give a HUGE shout out to our amazing friends at The Family Dental Center; because of their continued support of ICMB, we are able to offer even more events in 2017 than we have done in past years, both Moms Night Outs and family-friendly events as well. If you are looking for a dentist for your little ones (or for the whole family!), look no further than The Family Dental Center. Their staff is the friendliest, most dedicated staff you’ll ever meet, and they make the experience so inviting and not-so-scary for the first-timers!
After enjoying our sandwiches and yummy snacks, with a side of Wilson’s hard cider, we were treated to these ah-mazing mini donuts from our pal Michele at Vanilla Beans & Daydreams. If you are looking for ANY type of baked goods, Michele is your girl. Each and every mom at the Baskets & Brews event went home with their very own box of two donuts. How sweet is that?!
And last, but certainly not least, we had a handful of awesome local businesses contribute to our swag bags, which went home with every single mom as well. Special thanks to our friends at the following:
It Works (Becky Julson)
Young Living (Amber Foresto)
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this event, to everyone who attended, and to our awesome team for helping set-up, coordinate, and tear-down. It’s always fun to have a Moms Night Out, and we can’t wait to share the info on the next one with you!
