They married in 2007 and welcomed Aaron to the family in 2012. Isaiah made his appearance in 2015 on Christmas day, making them a family of four. She loves being a “boy mom” as well as her day job as a pediatric physical therapist. Angelica was raised in West Liberty just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Iowa City. After getting married to her high school sweetheart and living in the D.C. metro area, they decided it was not where they wanted to raise a family, and moved back five years ago to West Liberty. Nine months later they welcomed their daughter with only three hours to prepare. (She went the whole 40 weeks without knowing she was pregnant! Her daughter is now four years old and going to preschool. Aside from being a mommy, Angelica works full-time while going to school full-time. To help keep herself sane, she runs early in the morning five days a week. Last year she got the courage and ran the Quad Cities Marathon! It was the second hardest thing she’s ever done, next to giving birth. In addition to running, Angelica likes to read, cook, garden, fish, camp, and spend time with her family. She’s a Pinterest and bargain shopping addict! Overall she loves being a wife and a mom with the adventures that it brings.

Nicole is full-time Mother-Baby Nurse at UIHC and full-time mommy to her 2 year old son, Griffin. She grew up in Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa where she met her (now) husband of 6 years. They lived in Chicago for almost 4 years before moving back to Iowa City to start a family. After struggling with infertility and undergoing In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfers, they worked hard for the title of Mom and Dad. Feeling complete as a family of three, they are donating their last remaining embryo to another couple, which has been an interesting and complex process. Nicole’s next conquest is to get her Lactation Certification and do some in-home consultation on the side. Her other passions are hiking, reading non-fiction science (or parenting) books, Sudoku, being mamarazzi/managing Griffin’s modelling hobby, visiting museums, and listening to podcasts. She describes herself as resilient, passionately curious, coffee-obsessed, science nerd.
Caroline is an Arizona native who moved to Iowa in 2007 ‘for love’ and never looked back. Caroline currently works full-time in the Office of the Registrar at the University of Iowa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business and justice studies at Arizona State University and will earn her master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration at the University of Iowa in May 2017. When she has spare time, Caroline loves to read, do small projects around her house, pretend to be a baseball fan (go Cards!), and make pretty things (though she dislikes the term “crafter”). She has a decent amount of ability when it comes to crocheting and making invitations, but her true talent is sewing. She loves making clothes for her daughter and is counting down the days until Lucy is old enough for her own sewing machine. Caroline is also slightly obsessed with coffee, and doesn’t know who she would be without it.
