It’s Independence Day this weekend!  There are so many fun and exciting events happening throughout the Corridor that you will not want to miss.  Here are my top picks! Have fun and be safe!

Weekend Wednesday

Saturday, July 4th

Coralville 4th Fest 10 a.m.  The area’s largest Independence Day parade kicks off at 10 a.m.  Following the parade there are other events happening that you will not want to miss.  Check out the full schedule of events to see what is all happening!

Iowa City Jazz Festival 12 p.m.  With a youth stage and a fun zone (both free and minimal charge activities) this is an event for every member of your family.  So many artists showing off their musical talents that you will be easily entertained.  Events are also happening on Thursday and Friday!

Fans showing a military ID at the ticket office receive a discount on Club or Plaza tickets, while supplies last. The Kernels are wearing special patriotic jerseys that will be sold during the game via a silent auction.  Enjoy a spectacular post-game FIREWORKS show following the Kernels game. Fireworks nights are VERY popular, so order your tickets for this game NOW!

Five Seasons Ski Team Show at Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids 7-8 p.m.  The Five Seasons Ski Team presents a stunning hour long water ski show, with daredevil jump acts including helicopters and flips, 50 mph barefoot pyramids and much more. Watch as monster twin and triple engined towboats pull world record level pyramids with 30 or more skiers. With 50 costumed performers, an award winning announcer and rapid fire action these shows have been featured on ESPN and OLN television.
