Body Armor Sports Drink {Sponsored Post}

    I was given the opportunity to sample a six pack of Body Armor Super Drink-Superior Hydration.  It deserves to be said in a super-hero-announcer voice!!

     I am no scientist, nor am I a nutritionist/dietician, however, I am a mom to three beautiful, growing daughters.  I can see how what they put into their bodies affects them, both good and bad.  I am always a sucker for juice pouches or powder packets, however, I am also really into my sanity.  I also have a major awareness of the long term benefits and destruction of the things we give our children. The amounts of sugar that can be found in so many juices or soft drinks, makes me wish they never new that there was anything to drink besides water and the actual juice from actual fruit.  However, we take road trips sometimes, sometimes a trip to the gas station for a snack is fun, or picking out a fun drink can be a real treat!

img_4260    When my six pack arrived, I ended up having to place it in the back of the fridge until I was ‘ready’, as sports related drinks give me an unrealistic expectation of myself, like that I should go for a run or pump some iron.  I just don’t do that, at this time in my life.  Well I wasn’t able to successfully keep this for myself, before I knew it my husband had enjoyed two bottles and my daughters had split one, but I realized that wasn’t a bad thing at all.  They all LOVED the taste!  I had to make my move pretty quickly, so I could actually try them, I tried Fruit Punch.  It tastes like a smoothie, but isn’t as thick.  I love that it has coconut water in it, have you ever had coconut water by itself?  I mean, I want the health benefits, but wowzers, I also want to enjoy what I am drinking.  This drink really meets the criteria, not filled with junk I can’t pronounce, doesn’t make my children bounce off the walls, no strange aftertaste and loaded with vitamins.  So even though I am not going out for a run or pump iron, maybe I could.  At least I know that my family and I can be properly hydrated while enjoying this drink, I feel good letting this be a drink my kids have after school.  We have been able to find it, in so many flavors, at our local grocery stores and gas stations between Iowa and Texas.

    I am so glad we got the chance to ‘make the switch’ to BodyArmor!
