Spring is coming! We promise, it is!! It’s been a long, freezing cold winter and we are ready to get OUTSIDE. However, we had an absolute BLAST at our Indoor Playdates, and we were so glad that you joined us! We’re so lucky to have so many fun, exciting places to take our little ones when the weather is nasty, and we appreciate each of them hosting us this winter.
West Music: Sing, Play & Learn!
If you haven’t taken your little ones to West Music for a class, we highly recommend it. Their friendly, outgoing staff does a wonderful job at entertaining them and helping grow their interest in all things music. If you have older ones and you’re looking to get them started on lessons of any kind, stop by and visit West Music to see all of their options. Conveniently located on 5th street in Coralville, it’s really a perfect location for families from all sides of the corridor. Pancakes & Pajamas: A Holiday Breakfast
This one is quickly becoming one of our favorite events of the year! Just before the madness of the holidays began, we gathered for a yummy pancake breakfast, some fun games and activities, and some story time with Mrs. Claus herself! It was so fun to watch the kiddos pile their pancakes with whipped cream, sprinkles and chocolate chips, and then head on over to the hot cocoa bar and top that with the exact same things. We hope to see you at this annual event in the future; it’s such a great way to welcome the holiday season! Big Picture Gallery & Studio: Snails Galore!
It was a blustery, freezing cold day when we were welcomed into the bright, cheerful atmosphere of Big Picture Gallery & Studio for their indoor playdate. Owner Becky had an endless supply of fun for the kiddos, with the main event being an adorable snail sculpture to paint and take home. While their projects dried, the kids were entertained by Becky’s monster story-telling, and by the giant box of markers that were laid out to color on the paper table cloths in front of them. If you are looking for an artistic outlet for your little ones, you absolutely HAVE to check out Big Picture Gallery & Studio. She has some awesome summer camps planned, in addition to her regular classes for little ones. And, don’t leave the moms out, she also has super fun classes for adults!! Debut Dance: Music & Movement
The lovely ladies at Debut Dance all but rolled out the red carpet for our little ones at the playdate. First, we practiced our dancing skills in the big purple room. Next, we moved into the orange room and made a super cute snowman craft. And then, we were surprised with a pink room completely FULL of pink balloons. The kids had so much fun dancing around and kicking those balloons! Seriously, if you ever have a chance to fill a room full of balloons for your kids, DO IT. What a blast!!
