Allen’s Orchard (Marion)

What’s Picking: You pick apples. Plums, grapes, pears, squash, beans, cherries may be available for purchase.

They also sell: Apple slushies, fresh grown produce, unique gifts, and scrumptious treats like donuts, turnovers, cookies, pies and caramel apples.

Bart’s Farm and Pumpkin Patch (Marion)

What’s Picking: Pumpkins, gourds, corn on a rope, straw bales, corn stalk bundles

Other activities: petting barn, hayrides, horse rides, corn maze

Hours: M-F: 5 p.m.-dark, Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-dark.

Bass Farms (Mount Vernon)

What’s Picking: Farm-fresh, chemical-free pumpkins, vegetables, and flowers. Our Specialty Food Store also offers locally sourced and made sauces, jellies, jams, and honey! We also carry Iowa’s Finest, Edgewood Locker Meat products.

Kroul Farms (Mount Vernon)

What’s Picking: Pre-picked pumpkins of all sizes and kinds, Indian corn, gourds and squash, straw bales, corn-shucks, and specialty pumpkins are all available for your fall decorating projects and events.

What’s Picking: You-pick organic blueberries (Blueberry season is usually in July)

What’s Picking: You pick or pre-picked apples and pumpkins.

They also sell: Apple slushies, Heyn’s ice cream, apple cider donuts, apple turnovers, apple cider, canned goods, and baked goods. Blueberries, tart cherries, squash, and peaches are sometimes available for purchase.

Registration is now open for our Weekend Enrichment program for students in grades 2–8. Weekend Enrichment consists of half-day enrichment classes designed to supplement what elementary and junior high students are learning in school, give them a chance to explore their interests – or discover new ones! – and provide additional challenge beyond the traditional school curriculum.
