Who doesn’t love Sunday brunch? Our family’s recent routine has been to get in a little breakfast before heading to church on Sunday morning, and then come home after Sunday School and make a big meal of pancakes, eggs, waffles, breakfast meats, vegetables, and fruits while listening to music on the radio. My five-year-old loves the idea of a meal combining “breakfast and lunch,” especially since it means he usually gets a little larger snack in the mid-afternoon before supper!
Sometimes, however, I just don’t feel like cooking. When it’s a holiday and we have family visiting, we sometimes want something fancy. Of course, there are always chain restaurant options like IHOP, Village Inn, or Perkins, which are tasty but not particularly unique.
Luckily, the Iowa City area has a ton of local options for getting your brunch fix! Here are some of our reader favorites!
